Manager Programmatic Display MAT

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

The role holder is responsible for setting the strategic direction of Programmatic Display media in support of the activation of our performance and lower funnel brand campaigns throughout EMEA for both adidas a Reebok. He or she will be the programmatic expert in advertising technologies such as ad servers, DSP’s, DMP’s, ad exchanges, cross-device tracking technologies, dynamic creative tooling, audience modelling and bid management.

Furthermore, he or she will be required to plan and deliver profitable media campaigns through our agency/vendors using best practices across the conversion funnel (awareness, retargeting and prospecting). Reporting into the Director Search & Programmatic, the Programmatic Display Manager plays a central role in defining the KPI framework and testing plan for display campaigns. The role holder will have line management responsibilities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Define the overall programmatic display media strategy, translating brand and ecom marketing and company objectives into strong media plans that increase ROI
  • Be the central point for all display performance and lower funnel brand campaigns for adidas & Reebok eCom in Western Europe
  • Feed into the W.E. BU Media Servicing team to recommend the strategic development and deployment of all programmatic display campaigns as well as investment strategy
  • Create hypotheses and execute rigorous test campaigns to understand the drivers of impact. Consistent testing to optimize ROI, targeting (1st, 2nd, 3rd party data), bid strategies, and creative (+ DCO)
  • Review programmatic recommendation with Media category lead and provide feedback to agency team.
  • Highlight where we can improve campaign effectiveness through deeper use of our Ad Tech functionalities
  • Perform advanced analysis of performance data and deliver recommendations for strategic optimisation
  • Deliver incremental sales of display campaigns
  • Drive innovation within the channels such as DCO
  • DMP- audience modelling and segmentation for programmatic display campaigns
  • Steer the development of an appropriate KPI framework to successfully measure performance of programmatic campaigns
  • Manage a team of programmatic display specialists
  • Define goals for the team, desired outcome and performance evaluation

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Bachelor or Master degree required with >5 years of working experience with at least 3 years in programmatic marketing gained from a programmatic agency, trading desk, RTB technology vendor, publisher or advertiser, with a clear focus on sales campaigns
  • Expert level knowledge of Google Tech is required (DCM, DBM, DC Studio, Google Analytics)
  • Experience with Krux as DMP is a plus
  • Past experience of big data analytics tools such as Google BigQuery and SQL are recommended
  • Strong project management, budget management and scheduling skills
  • Experience analyzing performance data to inform business decisions
  • Experience in building successful strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • People management experience would be ideal
  • Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communications skills
